Technique:
Repeat the Basics: Every movement (strikes, defenses, footwork) must become automatic. The stronger your fundamentals, the faster you’ll progress on advanced techniques.
Work on Combinations: Not just isolated techniques, but fluidity (e.g., defense + counter + exit).
Variability: Execute the same defense against slow attacks, fast attacks, under stress, and from both left/right sides.
Power:
→ Cardio Conditioning: Cardio
For Explosiveness: Interval training (HIIT, short sprints).
→ Functional Strength Training: Core work, explosive push-ups, pull-ups, jump squats, anything that simulates a combat effort.
→ Flexibility / Mobility: Important to prevent injuries and improve kicks.
Mindset:
→ Realistic Scenarios: Train to react under pressure (multiple attackers, confined environment, noise, darkness).
→ Stress Management: Learn to breathe and stay calm in tense situations.
→ Decision-Making: Don’t hesitate – attack, defend, or exit quickly.
